JI Xin (? -204 BC), style name Cheng, born in Anhan County of Han Dynasty (present Xichong County). In his youthful days, he followed Liui Bang in waging a rebellion against the Qin Dynasty. After death, his birth place was granted as "Anhan County" by Emperor Liu Bang of Han Dynasty in memory of his sacrifice in founding the Western Han Dynasty and he was honored as "General Shenyu" by the later generations.
